Throw Away the Suit Together is a story about two young women, Nishimiya Haru and Megumi Hinoto, struggling with the pressure of becoming adults. Even after getting into university, they cannot find a clear path for their future. Failed job interviews, financial problems, and the feeling of being lost slowly take over their daily lives.

Tired of the busy life in Tokyo, Haru decides to leave everything behind. Together with her girlfriend Hinoto, she moves to a small island, hoping to find peace and start over. But life on the island is not easy. Money becomes a problem, and without proper education or stable work experience, finding a job is difficult. As they struggle to survive and keep living there, they slowly realize that life does not always go the way they want.

Personal Thoughts

I really liked the relationship between the two main characters. They love each other, support each other during their hardest moments, and also show selfish sides of themselves. Both of them are afraid of losing the other and want to stay together forever. They argue sometimes, misunderstand each other, and go through painful moments, but in the end they still face everything together. That is what makes their relationship feel real and meaningful.

This story is a Romance, Shoujo Ai, Slice of Life, and Yuri manga. It feels like a gentle piece of everyday life, telling a heartfelt love story between two girls in a very honest way. Depending on the reader, it can feel healing, or simply like a warm and comforting romance that helps you relax after a tiring day.

About the Art

The art is beautiful overall and fits the mood of the story very well. The expressions and atmosphere are done nicely. There are a few panels where the character faces look a little off, but it does not ruin the experience.

Character Development

The growth of Haru and Hinoto feels very natural. The story shows their struggles, their desire to run away, and how they slowly learn to face reality. There are no miracles or dramatic twists, but that is exactly what makes it emotional and believable. After finishing it, I felt like I had gone through the journey together with them, sharing both their pain and happiness.

Final Thoughts

With only 3 volumes and 16 chapters, the author shows that growing up is not as beautiful as we imagined when we were younger. It is full of struggles, failures, and moments where we must face ourselves.

If you are looking for a realistic romance story that is not overly dramatic or perfect, but still full of emotion and honesty, Throw Away the Suit Together is a great choice. The story does not only explore the love between two girls, but also the hardships of life, personal growth, and the process of finding yourself again after failure. With its peaceful island setting and the challenges of money and daily life, the manga reminds us that even if life does not go the way we want, love and determination can still help us move forward. Throw Away the Suit Together is the kind of story that quietly stays with you after you finish reading it.
